Condition report: Good state of conservation of the pictorial surface.

In Greek mythology, Zeus decided to punish humanity for its wickedness with a universal flood. Only Deucalion, son of Prometheus, and his wife Pyrrha survived by building an ark that allowed them to survive the flood by taking refuge on Mount Parnassus. When the waters receded, the two asked the oracle how to repopulate the earth. Following her riddle, they threw stones over their shoulders, which transformed into new humans, thus giving rise to a new humanity.
