French secretaire from the mid 1800s, Boulle style, in ebonized wood (black). It has an upper body equipped with a white marble shelf bordered by a gilded bronze border; rich bronze applications adorn the entire remaining part of the body with 2 large lateral caryatids. The drop-leaf top and drawers feature rich inlay patterns in pyrographed ivory, mother-of-pearl and brass.
