The frame, of the type known as "francesina," is an 18th-century Venetian production. The term designates a model of French origin, borrowed from the repertoire of baguettes and Louis XV frames popular in Paris during the 18th century, and adapted by Venetian workshops to local tastes. The structure is structured on two tiers of simple carving that frame a smooth central band, following a deliberately flat and linear profile, contrasting with the more protruding Baroque frames. The gilding, applied on a prepared base, retains its warm hue with diffuse patinas of aging.

Condition report: Good overall condition. There are gaps and losses in the gilding, small losses in the carving, and signs of use consistent with the work's age.
