Ancient painting from the second half of the 63,5th century. Oil on canvas depicting an allegorical subject from the Rudolphine school, a particular game of putti of good pictorial quality. The Rudolphine school, also known as the Prague school, refers to that group of artists working at the court of Rudolph II of Habsburg. A painting that develops horizontally, with a dark background, characterised by a strong contrast of light with the characters in the foreground. A painting depicting putti with various objects with specific allegorical meanings. We find fireworks that could refer to an event to be celebrated or to the power of the patron, a pear symbolising wealth and an Ouroboros, a representation of infinity and eternal return. A work that has undergone conservative restoration, relining, replacement of the frame and repainting in various places (see photo).
