We are pleased to present this refined antique Italian chest dating back to the early 18th century. Crafted from solid walnut, this chest boasts a sturdy structure, while its warm color lends it a versatile aesthetic that complements both classic and modern interiors. This chest has a simple, clean design that's equally suited to modern furnishings. Two delicate decorations on the sides of the front break up the linearity and create a distinctive visual accent. Its functionality is excellent, with a large compartment offering plenty of storage space and a small internal drawer. Originally, this type of chest was primarily intended for storing bedding, such as blankets or sheets, and was placed at the foot of the bed. Today, you can place it anywhere in the home, taking advantage of its spacious interior and lending a unique antique charm to the space. Note: The wood of the lid has a small defect due to age; the wooden board is no longer perfectly level (as seen in the photos). This defect does not affect the closure or the overall aesthetic of the piece.
