Ancient large sculpture in Carrara marble, signed Guido Galetti 1948 (London 1893 – Genoa 1977) of exceptional quality, depicting the painter, sculptor and politician Leonardo Bistolfi (Casal Monferrato 1859 – La loggia 1933).

Excellent condition. Guido Galletti was an Italian sculptor who exhibited at numerous Venice Biennials and Rome Quadrennials from 1930 to 1959. Some of his works are at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Turin. He was the author, among others, of the famous “Christ of the Abyss” from 1959 on the seabed of Camogli.
