Oil on canvas work depicting an allegorical subject from the Rudolphine school, a game of cherubs with game, of excellent pictorial quality. The Rudolphine school, also known as the Prague school, refers to that group of artists working at the court of Rudolf II of Habsburg. Note the quality in the creation of the complexion, the still life and the masterful use of the chiaroscuro technique to create depth and volume of the subjects.
