Antique Louis XIV Sicilian chest of drawers in walnut burl with rosewood reserves dating back to the mid-18th century.
The surface entirely in walnut root plays on the arrangement of the grain and the contrast of the chiaroscuro of the different inlays.
The decoration is typical of eighteenth-century Sicily with the classic contrasting reserve and gilded bronze escutcheons and handles.
The two corners and the top are highlighted by elegant wooden borders arranged 'end to end'.
The two-drawer front is accentuated by a beautiful movement that is also repeated on the sides.
The two cabriolet feet end with a plinth foot and are connected by a mixtilinear apron.
General Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen with traditional shellac and handmade alcohol method.
Origin: Sicily, 18th century.
