125xH160cm.
Elegant Roman mirror from the first half of the 700th century, entirely carved, engraved and gilded with gold leaf.
The mirror looks like a triumph of carved wood with a movement that develops from bottom to top where it is possible to appreciate all its finesse.
The cymatium is a succession of rocaille scrolls and vegetal clusters, while on the sides two cherub heads stand out.
The lower part features raceme motifs that contribute to the elegance and refinement of this splendid object.
The mirror is made of mercury salt glass and is contemporary with the wooden frame.
