The “Ars Pulchra” factory was founded in Turin by Bartolomeo Camisassa and his wife Maria Clotilde on 30 July 1935. The production, directed by Bartolomeo Camisassa himself, already employed by the Turin ceramic factory “Lenci”, is based on the creation of artistic ceramics and small sculptures depicting women in the "big names" genre of Gino Boccasile, subjects of national folklore and of a religious nature. The subjects produced, of good quality and painted in rich and lively colours, manage to establish themselves on both national and foreign markets. The factory makes use of, among others, the collaboration of the modeller Mario Mesini, the caricaturist Piero Cattaneo, the painter and ceramist Camillo Ghigo (known as Mastro Ghigo), Lino Berzoini, Otto Maraini, former collaborators of "Lenci", the master maker Ugo Rossignoli and the miniaturist painter Elisabetta Viarengo Miniotti.
