55 - 36 - 64
Designer: Frantisek Mezulanik / Manufacturer: Novy Domov NP / Model: 4-drawer chest of drawers / / Designed by František Mezuláník and produced by Nový Domov NP in the 60s, this micro chest of drawers is an impeccable example of Nordic-inspired Czechoslovakian design. Compact, tidy and surprisingly elegant in its proportions, it is made of light maple, with a glass-covered top that protects the surface while enhancing its grain.
Four drawers, punctuated by refined rectangular knobs, create a harmonious facade, while the thin and visible feet slim the structure and lighten its visual presence.
At 64 cm tall, it is a bit out of the ordinary for a bedside table (unless you have a high bed), but for this very reason it can become a wild card piece: next to an armchair, under a window, or even as a container in a minimal kitchen. In any room it brings with it a gentle and tidy air, and that silent grace of well-designed furniture.
