Description

Antique Louis XIV Neapolitan chest of drawers in walnut burl with rosewood reserves.

The surface entirely in walnut root plays on the arrangement of the grain and the contrast of the chiaroscuro of the different inlays.

The decoration is typical of eighteenth-century Neapolitan style with the classic contrasting reserve and the bronze shield on the lock.

The two corners and the top are highlighted by elegant wooden borders arranged 'end to end'.

The three-drawer front is accentuated by a beautiful movement that is also repeated on the sides, with the wedge-shaped sides, a typical feature of Neapolitan cabinetmakers of the period.

The two cabriolet feet have the classic cabriolet shape and are connected by a mixtilinear apron.
