Pair of finely carved polychrome wooden sculptures depicting Saints Peter and Paul, dating back to the 18th century.
Saint Peter is depicted with the key in his hand (symbol of spiritual and temporal power) while in his left hand he holds the open book of the Gospels.
Saint Paul holds the sword (symbol of martyrdom and of the word of God) pointed at the ground with his left hand.
Conditions: Excellent condition.
Provenance: Lombardy 18th century.
