Large elm and elm burl sideboard/bookcase with chamfered corners. Romagna, First Empire period and style, first quarter of the 19th century. The two-piece cabinet is constructed of solid elm, while the paneling of each door is embellished with beautiful, variegated elm burl (not clearly visible in the images), giving the piece an almost pictorial decorative effect and streamlining its generous volume. The plinth supports and keyhole are made of polished brass. The cabinet underwent a meticulous restoration just a few years ago, so it can be placed immediately in the room reserved for it by the prospective buyer.
