This is a complete collectible series of eight coasters which were produced based on an idea by Piero Fornasetti in 1970 upon express commission from the Banca Unione di Milano as a gift to its customers. The saucers are all numbered and in ascending order they are:
1) Boat, 2) House, 3) Idea, 4) Everything, 5) Holidays, 6) Christmas, 7) Student, 8) Car.
These serigraphs created by the master represent eight variations on the theme of coins made in black and pure gold at the third firing, the latter term indicating the third firing that is applied to an object to add decorations, in particular those in pure gold.
