Gianna Boschi was a painter, designer, teacher and ceramist. on the upper left rear side, From 1934 to 1939 she attended the Faenza School of Drawing under the guidance of Roberto Sella. From 1940 to 1942 she attended the Decoration course at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna as a student of Giovanni Romagnoli, Virgilio Guidi and Giorgio Morandi. Starting from the 50s, Boschi pictorially developed a personal style, arriving at elegant solutions: the artist will remember the slender and dreamy girls with necks caught in a suspension out of time, ambiguously poised between the real and the imaginary , between the everyday and the dreamlike. After having participated in numerous exhibitions and prestigious national exhibitions, starting in the 60s she formed a fruitful friendship with the famous sculptor Domenico Rambelli, a fellow citizen of hers. Starting from 1962, Gianna Boschi will also transfer her refined and dreamy poetic nature to ceramic production artefacts, which she will combine with painting for the rest of her life.
