First half of the 17th century.
220x70, height 255 cm.
Important double sideboard entirely veneered in walnut and walnut root. Bologna, first half of the 17th century. The structure of the furniture, such as the internal shelves and the backrest, are made of poplar wood. The furniture, of imposing dimensions and with a typical architectural design, dear to the Bolognese cabinet-making of the period, is characterized by the presence of ashlars with a mixtilinear pattern in solid walnut essence, present on the front and on the sides, and by a double opening of the doors: a first opening allows you to open the central doors, while a second one also allows you to open the uprights of the sideboard itself, via hinges directly fixed to the side of the double body.
We are faced with a piece of furniture in its first patina, that is, a piece of furniture that has never been subjected to carpentry work, excessive cleaning or tampering. Nonetheless, the furniture is in a good state of conservation, although it requires expert restoration work that does not alter its beautiful color in the warm bronze tone given to it by the passing of the centuries. Even the metal knobs are original.
The upper body is 140 cm high, while the lower one is 115 cm, for a total height of 255 cm.
