Antique Louis XIV kneeler in solid walnut and walnut burl dating back to the early 18th century.

The piece of furniture follows a rigorous classical architectural proportion divided vertically into three levels, namely the upper shelf with under-counter band and integrated drawer.

The central body is characterised by a triptych arrangement with a rectangular door in the centre mounted on hinges and embellished with a bronze lock escutcheon.

The lower base is protruding and lowered, specifically designed for kneeling, while the top of the stool can be opened via hinges, revealing an internal well-shaped container resting on the base plinth.
