From a design point of view, the most interesting part is probably the elegant circular base raised by feet, a skilful blend of the warmth of teak and the brilliance of brass. This successful material combination is also repeated in the development of the slender arm that holds the two bulbs and the lampshade. Essentiality and inspiration from nature (in particular the use of wood) are the key concepts of the Scandinavian masters of the mid-century, masters who still inspire today for the production of contemporary objects with vintage inspiration.
Teak is a precious essence, renowned both for its aesthetic and mechanical and physical characteristics and for this reason it lends itself to a wide variety of uses, not only in interior furnishings. It is a finish widely used by Scandinavian designers who were able to create, also through it, a very recognizable style with a marked patriotic connotation but at the same time of international importance.
