Large painting from the second half of the 1888th century. Work signed E. Reynier and dated 1836 (see photo), referable to the German painter Emil Reynier (1927-80) as per the plate on the frame, lacking authentication. Oil painting on canvas depicting a splendid romantic scene; the two lovers are on a wonderful rowing boat that glides gently along the calm waters of a river. The surrounding landscape opens up in an embrace of lush greenery and in the foreground we find some splendid flowers. Painting of notable pictorial quality, to be particularly underlined the executive quality in the creation of the clothes and in the rendering of a dreamy atmosphere. Scenographic contemporary frame in carved and gilded wood, with beautiful decoration. Work on first canvas that shows some signs of aging and a lesion at the bottom right (see photo).
