Summer represents the achievement of the sublimation of Mazzolani's aesthetics and his concept of harmony of forms.
The balance achieved by his deco mannerism is here at the highest levels, with the female figure twisting in a totally unnatural way, surprisingly maintaining a harmonious delicacy in her gestures.
It is always at least curious to note that an artist capable of such inventions is not celebrated by critics and counted as he deserves among the greatest exponents of Italian sculpture of the early twentieth century.
