Luigi Massoni for Guzzini, vintage 70s round bar trolley

Bar trolley by designer Luigi Massoni produced by Guzzini, plastic, 70s.

In excellent original vintage condition, it shows minor signs of wear due to use and age.

The furniture project revolves around the ideal shape of a triangle made of black plastic on which two circular trays in transparent caramel-coloured plastic are inserted, one lower and the other upper, both removable (as shown in the photo). The load-bearing structure is joined by metal connection elements and is equipped with wheels to facilitate movement.

The coffee table bears the signature of Luigi Massoni, a significant Italian designer who recently passed away, founder in 1957 of "Mobilia", a tool for promoting Italian design.

With Carlo De Carli he participated in the founding of the magazine "Il Mobile Italiano".

His collaboration with the Guzzini group began in 1962, for which he not only designed numerous products (the Brumbry lamp, the Bolo Cubo bowls, 1962, and the Vanessa plates, 1969), but he was also a consultant for design and communication, contributing in substantial way to the growth of the production culture and the modernization of all the group's brands.

Finally, we remember that he was awarded the Compasso d'Oro for lifetime achievement in 1995.
