We present this delightful oil painting on canvas from the second half of the 19th century. The painting bears a barely legible signature in the lower right corner (see photo), likely F. Holl. It is likely the work of an English painter, but the artist has not been identified. It is a painting of good artistic quality, clearly demonstrating the 19th-century painter's sensitivity to landscape representation. The artist depicts a landscape devoid of figures, where nature is the sole protagonist. In the foreground, a river with vegetation is reflected in the water. In the background, mountains are partially covered by white clouds on a sunny day. The painting is in good condition (see all photos carefully) and has minor restorations to the color. Sold unframed. If you are fascinated by landscapes, this painting is a perfect addition to your collection.
