We present this fantastic oil painting on cardboard dating back to the early decades of the 20th century. The painting is signed N. Chianese in the lower right corner (see photo). Attributable to the Italian landscape artist Nicolò Chianese (Sampierdarena, Genoa, 1898–1971), the painting has no authentication.
This painting showcases the artist's artistic qualities, highlighting his sensitivity and mastery in capturing the essence of the Italian countryside. The warm colors of summer, particularly the bright yellow of the wheat field, evoke a sense of warmth and vitality. The lush vegetation and clear blue sky lend depth and serenity to the landscape. The use of thick brushstrokes to create volume demonstrates the artist's skill in materializing the natural landscape, while the absence of figures allows the viewer to fully immerse themselves in the peaceful atmosphere. Housed in a splendid gilded frame, this painting not only celebrates the beauty of nature but also makes an attractive addition to any collection, especially for those who appreciate the charm of the Italian countryside.
