The proposed work, of a high level of quality and placed within the context of the eighteenth-century Venetian tradition, depicts a large landscape, dotted with large trees and closed in the background by the blue view of the Pre-Alps. In this scenario a couple of travellers, sitting on the side of a road while scanning the horizon warmed by the sunset, are portrayed in a moment of rest. Despite the human presence desired by the artist in describing and harmonizing the composition, the dominant subject of the canvas is still the wide view of the landscape [complete description on link]
