Second half of the 19th century.
Height: 59 cm. Base: 24x21 cm
Ancient polychrome terracotta sculpture depicting a young fisherman. The boy's plastic pose is given by his feet resting on a rock, by the baskets carried on his shoulders and by the pipe held in his right hand. The sculptural finesse together with the chromatic choice clearly refer to the Neapolitan culture of the second half of the 800th century. The state of conservation is very good. The plastic does not present any structural restorations or later additions regarding the chromatic range.
Provenance: Bologna, Private Collection. 19th century.
