The sculpture depicts Venus seated on a rock, captured in the act of drying her foot. The figure, in neoclassical style, is rendered with anatomical attention to detail in the modeling of the torso and limbs, while a cloth gathered beneath her enlivens the composition with soft folds. Her face, tilted downward, expresses a deep concentration. The model harks back to the tradition of seated Venuses in 18th-century Italian academia.
