Description

This precious Choga is a noble dignitary costume in green pashmina wool woven in twill and profusely hand-embroidered with twisted gold thread and lined in silk. Probably originating from Kashmir, it is a loose, open robe worn as a court garment. Choga were usually made of silk velvet, but in this case the client had it made of an extremely precious yarn such as pashmina, Capra hircus or Changthangi hair wool from the Himalayas, Ladakh, Tibet and Nepal.
In good condition and sanitized: the Choga has some old moth holes and a mended tear near the shoulder.
