Elegant group of four Italian paintings from the second half of the 101th century. Oil on canvas works depicting the allegory of the four seasons, of remarkable pictorial quality and difficult to find. Spring is depicted as a young girl immersed in flowers and Summer as a woman preparing for the harvest with a sickle in her hand. Autumn is a beautiful girl with a basket of fruit holding a bunch of grapes while Winter is depicted as an old man smoking in an interior lit by burning coals. Noteworthy is the mastery with which the girls' clothes and jewels were made, as well as some minute naturalistic details. Contemporary frames in carved and gilded wood, with some loss of gilding (see photo). Paintings on the first canvas that show some signs of aging, overall in good condition. Painting size H 74 x W XNUMX cm.
