Description

Oil portrait of a little girl on a black background, by the Cremona painter Mario Biazzi (Castelverde 1880 – Cremona 1965).

After attending the Carrara in Bergamo, Biazzi moved to Brera, in Milan, where he met and lived in close contact with those who would be the greatest exponents of Futurism and Italian art. Endowed with incredible talent, he won various international awards and stayed in London for two years, confirming himself as the most "European" of the Cremonese painters.
Returning to Cremona, he became the official portraitist of the entire bourgeoisie, sought after for the incredible investigative capacity of his portraits, created using glazes typical of his technique, never predictable, always extremely psychological and intense.
