An elegant center desk (bureau plat) of refined Italian craftsmanship from around 1950. The piece recalls the lines of the Louis XVI style and is characterized by splendid herringbone parquetry workmanship that converges in a central diamond motif.
Details and Features:Expandable: Equipped with 2 removable side drawers that allow you to significantly expand the work surface.
Capacity: It has a central drawer and two side drawers.
Aesthetics: Elegant fluted truncated pyramid legs that give lightness to the structure.
Condition and Defects (See Photos): The desk is an authentic piece from the 50s and, as such, shows signs of age that testify to its originality. In particular, the top of the tabletop features:
Whitish halos and spots: There are two obvious opaque halos (probably caused by heat or past humidity) affecting the surface polish in the central and lower right quadrants.
Signs of Use: Minor surface scratches and slight wear to the finish from normal use over time.
