The group depicts the Pietà according to traditional iconography: the seated Virgin supports the lifeless body of Christ resting on her lap. The composition, small in size and intended for devotional purposes, reveals a skilled hand in the rendering of volumes and the articulation of the drapery. The modeling is essential yet effective, with particular attention to the expressive rendering of the faces. The original polychrome, partially preserved, shows the Virgin's cloak in dark blue and her robe in red, canonical colors of Marian iconography. The contoured base is painted red, consistent with the tradition of 18th-century Italian devotional sculpture.

Condition report: Good condition. Signs of aging, wear, and ancient woodworm are present.
