Italian school of the early 18th century, “Senior Knight of the Order of Malta”, oil on canvas. Twentieth-century reupholstery. Frame present but not contemporary. Excellent state of conservation. Accumulations of grease and environmental dirt spread across the entire pictorial surface. Upon examination conducted using a Wood's lamp, no restorations or repaintings were found that could jeopardize the value of the work. On the lower right margin, it bears an ancient scroll bearing the inventory number.
