Italian Walnut Writing Desk with Drop-Leaf, 50s, Louis XVI Style

Refined secretaire with flap (flap-top cabinet or writing desk), inspired by the Louis XVI style but attributable to an Italian modernist production of the mid-20th century.

The upper part opens like a flap to act as a worktop, revealing an internal compartment organized with four small side drawers with spherical knobs and a central open compartment.

The lower section is closed by two doors with a distinctive vertical ribbed finish (breadstick or Venetian shutter effect).

Inside the compartment there are two wooden shelves.

The piece of furniture rests on four elegant turned and fluted legs, typical of the linearity of the Louis XVI style.

Both locks are working and come with both original keys.

Dimensions: length 102 cm, depth 43 cm, total height 105 cm.

Good condition. The piece is intact and stable.

Overall, it's in good condition. I'd like to point out that it has some cracks, visible in the photos, on the vertical ribbed part.
