Antiquities Giglio
- Via Carlo Pisacane, 53, Milan, Milan, Italy
The history of the Milanese art gallery Antichità Giglio begins with the professional career of Lino Giglio in his father Franco's restoration workshop at the end of the 70s, in Milan in via Pisacane 53, home of the current Galleria Antichità Giglio. The first experiences in the world of antiques therefore start from the practical and technical knowledge of antique furniture, its construction, wood, eras and styles, from which arises the passion and desire to learn more and more in the world of antiques.antique trade and art. In the environment, Lino Giglio frequents various types of professionals including antique dealers, collectors, restorers and experts in the antiques sector whom he initially works alongside, creating close collaborations. Thus the first commercial exchanges were born, identifying as a strong point the purchase of works of art and antiques directly from private individuals. In 1986 he founded Giglio Pasquale & CSas, better known as Antichità Giglio, an activity which is in fact dedicated topurchase from private individuals and for sale (in galleries, online or through national and international antiques fairs) by ancient and 800th century paintings, modern and contemporary art, antique furniture, sculptures, silverware, chandeliers, oriental art, furnishings and design.
