Elegant cabinet of imperious and noble presence. The lion corbels highlight the desire, already evident in the lacquering of the wood, to embellish the case as much as possible. The cabinet is crowned with a lid concealing a secret compartment, which can be locked using the lock. The modular decoration of the lid, organized through an intense chromatic partition, echoes the main rounded body, embellished with a shaped application with a pair of mirrored racemes that adorn the centre. Golden frames, strips and highlights evoking Venetian marble and granite add color to the box, according to a consolidated Venetian decorative practice. The Venetian school that seals the present recalls, through subtle arabesques, the polychrome marbles of Venetian goldsmiths, recalling the marble inlays adorning the Basilica of San Marco, as well as the architecture of Codussi and Pietro Solari.
