The unmissable events that officially reopen the season: AMART Antiques in Milan & MOG – Milan Open Galleries

The time of waiting is over.

Il mood of its own. or the magic word after the summer break is “Open".
Upon closer inspection, the title might be enough, in a historical moment like the one we are experiencing, to orient and "open" our curiosity towards ancient art, roughly labeled as "niche", which in reality offers enormous opportunities for comparison and cultural growth.
In a climate of recovery and desire for sociality, Milan, the city of Week more cool par excellence, an innovative initiative dedicated to Antiques is born.
In conjunction with the exhibition "Amart – Antiquariato a Milano”, successfully in its third edition, will open “MOG - Milan Open Galleries beyond the window", a new entry, born from an idea of Young Antique Dealers, supported and firmly desired byMilanese Antique Dealers Association.
From 25 to 29 October, more than forty selected galleries will be the undisputed protagonists of a prestigious event full of events and themed evenings, divided into areas, with a packed calendar of unmissable and exclusive events.
An ambitious project from cool sophisticated, one of a kind – thanks to the precious contribution of media partners which Art Rights e Arthur, active in digital communication, together with the portal Nowarc – MOG turns its gaze to the Italian and international antiques market, in which the organizing committee places great expectations of participation and interest.
Enthusiasts, collectors and PRO operators will thus have the opportunity to visit the AMART Milano exhibition in the historic headquarters of Permanente Museum in via Turati 34 (27-31 October) and at the same time to access the "MOG Milano Open Galleries - beyond the showcase" initiatives organized by each gallery in its own location from 25 to 29 October.

What emerges is a wide choice of exhibitions, talks and presentations supported by experts known to the sector, to fully experience the pleasure of interacting with the "fascination with the ancient“, to return to experiencing art in person, reconnecting the dialogue between the public and antique dealers. A new look, already widely tested with success in other areas of Design, which helps to use and enjoy the works on display and the spaces that host them, in a studied setting and following the best practices to measure ourselves with our perception of art through the centuries.

The initiative has its roots in the reflections of the Young Antique Dealers group (coordinated by Isabella Danesini - councilor of the Milanese Antique Dealers Association), convinced that our world has a lot to tell and that, in a reality where it storytelling it is increasingly appreciated that it is essential to shorten distances, not only temporally, but also in terms of usability and connection.

Thus the idea of “Open Galleries – beyond the shop window” was born: the public is invited to enter the galleries, take an active part in cultural itineraries, proposed by Antiquarians, in a sharing climate.
What keeps a community connected are the values transmitted, not just the works: sharing a passion beyond the work with ideals and thoughts in tune with the themes of the past in constant dialogue with current events.
The AMART MILANO advertising campaign, curated by Paolo Landi and enriched by the photographer's shots Maki Galimberti is centered precisely on the theme of contamination, the message produced through famous quotes it is particularly successful, welcomed with intelligent sensitivity by all the protagonists, mostly prominent personalities of the Italian and international cultural scene, who contributed to making it so unique and special.
Antiques are in themselves capable of encompassing concepts of respect, ethics, rarity, valorization, conservation, restoration and protection that are decidedly in line with today's philosophy in favor of a lifestyle "green“, in clear contrast with superficial consumerism, devoid of aesthetic taste and critical sense.
Dwelling on the fact that each work is a unique piece, accompanied by an internal story also of resilience to the passage of time: born in a very specific era, but reaching us through mysterious ways that have determined its survival makes it a sort of “root” that binds us inextricably to their cultural belonging. For our part, we are invested with a great responsibility: that of read it, understand it, keep it and pass it on. It's no small thing.
The recognition of the role of Art, beyond stereotypes, towards an agreement between different languages, constitutes an opportunity for the public and for the gallery owners themselves to live a profound and high-level cultural experience given the fundamental role in the panorama of Italian cultural excellence that has always covered the figure of the antiquarian, now finally rediscovered and truly recognised “Open mind”: a figure capable of maintaining the glamorous authentic knowledge even in the age of digital technology.
