Height 21 cm Diameter 16 cm
Vase made by Seguso Vetri d'Arte based on a design by the well-known Italian designer, ceramist and painter Flavio Poli, a refined masterpiece of Murano glass art attributable to the mid-50s. The work follows the glassmaking technique of "submerged glass", a refined expedient played on the superposition of several glass layers and on the two-tone alternation between colors that are often dazzling and contrasting with each other, in this specific case between gray and pink.
Dimensions: Height 21 cm Diameter 16 cm
Poli's activity (Chioggia, 1900 – Venice, 1984) is also known for the production of submerged vases which began in the period after the Second World War and it was precisely then, in those years, that he was awarded the Compasso d 'gold. The aforementioned technique was presented at the Venice Biennials, the Milan Triennials and the 1958 Brussels Universal Exhibition. Finally, let us remember that some of Flavio Poli's creations are exhibited at the Murano Glass Museum.
