The landscape in question depicts a suggestive view of Riva del Garda, a town located in the northern part of Lake Garda, a popular holiday destination already in the nineteenth century, thanks to the enchanting landscape in which the mountains slide down sheer into the lake, as well as a point of reference for the meeting of famous intellectuals, such as Heinrich and Thomas Mann, Nietzsche and Franz Kafka.
The light that envelops the canvas, warm and brilliant, emphasizes the panorama, setting the scene in an atmosphere of pure romanticism.
The canvas is in excellent condition. Enriched by a valuable contemporary frame.
