Dumbo – Zaccagnini Ceramics
An icon of sweetness and refinement that captivates at first glance. Dumbo, the ceramic statue by Zaccagnini, is a small work of art that combines artisanal mastery and timeless charm. The soft lines, delicate shades of pearl gray, and touches of pink on the cheeks and trunk give the figure a tender, dreamy expression, conveying warmth and nostalgia.
The expressive eyes, meticulously crafted down to the smallest detail, bring Dumbo to life, almost ready to take flight with his trunk raised, a symbol of good luck and positivity. This ceramic piece is more than just decoration, it evokes emotion, perfect for collectors, lovers of vintage design, or anyone seeking an object that tells a story.
The Ugo Zaccagnini & Figli factory was founded in 1905 in Sesto Fiorentino by Ugo Zaccagnini (1868–1937), a ceramist trained at Richard-Ginori, the oldest Italian ceramics factory. In the 30s, the company moved to Florence and became "Società Anonima Ceramiche Zaccagnini" under the leadership of his son Urbano, who modernized production and opened the company to international exports.
