Anthologie Quartett
In 1996, on the occasion of the Tendence fair in Frankfurt, Anthologie Quartett previewed Cellula, the suspension lamp created by the two Milanese designers Nunzia Carbone and Tiziano Vudafieri.
Cellula was born at the request of a wealthy Milanese art collector who asked the designers Carbone and Vudafieri for a particular lighting to be placed above the central table of a spacious loft, where the client exhibited his vast art collection.
Carbone & Vudafieri have created the contemporary new interpretation of the classic chandelier. Cellula is created from completely different drops and from an aluminum rod with an essential line... it thus becomes the archetype of a new generation of modern drop chandeliers. Recall that in 1996 minimalism in design reached its peak and teardrop chandeliers were practically absent in the design context. The prisms are made of precious crystal. In the 9 light point cell there are 92 prisms of different shapes and sizes. The condition of the entire lamp is excellent, there are two slightly chipped crystals, but not visible once hung.
