Plexiglass and Steel, electrical system splendidly preserved and functioning... the original Ballasts (Neon tube transformers) are still present while the wires have been brought up to standard.
Original system delivered with the sign.
The plexiglass was repaired with a single small crack barely visible only when turned on and highlighted in the photograph.
This luminous sign representing the Italian Tricolor surmounting the black Prancing Horse on a yellow field is original and dated... whose story is fascinating and was told by Enzo Ferrari himself only once: "The little horse was painted on the cockpit of Francesco Baracca's fighter, the heroic aviator who fell on Montello, the Ace of Aces of the First World War. When I won the first Savio circuit in '23, which was held in Ravenna, I met Count Enrico Baracca, the hero's father; from that meeting the next one was born, with his mother, Countess Paolina. It was she who said to me one day: 'Ferrari, put my son's prancing horse on your cars. He will bring her luck.' I still have the photograph of Baracca, with the dedication of his parents, in which they entrusted the emblem to me. The little horse was and remained black; I added the canary yellow background which is the color of Modena".
