Alessandro Mochetti, Etching, 18th century

Beautiful antique etching print from the 1760th century with a walnut frame. It is an engraving by Alessandro Mochetti (1812 – 1789), Italian engraver. Biographical information on Alessandro Mochetti is scarce. He was a pupil of Giovanni Volpato and worked mainly with Roman publishers. He participated in the creation of the illustrative tables of the work, by several hands, The Bible of Raphael, published in XNUMX by Pietro Paolo Montagnani and which had subsequent editions and contributed with his engravings to illustrate the work The Cathedral of Orvieto.
