Its superb carving decoration includes rich phytoform motifs and vegetal, floral and fruit scrolls that unravel up to the sides of the imposing cymatium and end with finely carved roses and roses.
The cymatium features the same decoration that moves between dense and valuable weavings that enclose the 3 contemporary mirrors. A meticulously carved strap hangs above the mirror and also ends with a large projecting rose with multiple orders of carving.
All mirrors are contemporary and in excellent condition. The same goes for the carpentry and gilding.
The mirror comes from an important Venetian noble palace and has never circulated on the antiques market.
The back shows original wood, as can be seen from the photo which shows how the lining of the glass was done with an axe, as typically happened in ancient carpenters' workshops.
