J.Loetz Iridescent Glass Vase with Pewter Base Austria 1900

Perhaps the oldest artistic glassworks in Austria founded in 1848.

It reached its artistic and commercial peak between the end of the nineteenth century and the early years of the twentieth century, winning prizes at the most important world exhibitions including Paris. The works of Johann Loetz are among the most outstanding examples of Art Nouveau 

The small vase we offer is made of iridescent glass in a range of colors from blue to green and grey, but due to the very nature of the glass the colors appear iridescent. 

The base is surrounded by a part made of pewter, decorated with the classic styles of art nouveau inspired by nature.

The vase is in excellent original vintage condition
