Poul Henningsen's 1958 design is based on the principle of a reflective three-shade system, which directs the majority of the light downwards. The PH5 lamp was launched in 1958: the 5 in its name refers to its 50 cm diameter.

– The lamp is in very good condition with light signs of wear. Wiring replaced. It has been tested and is in working order.
