19th century sculpture reproducing the famous Medici Venus, a work taken from a 1st century Greek marble sculpture. BC, original or perhaps a loose copy/interpretation of a now lost 3rd century BC Greek original.
The Venus was purchased by Francesco de' Medici in 1584 and is now exhibited in Florence at the Uffizi Gallery.
