Large Belgian painting dated 1920. Oil on canvas, first canvas, depicting the portrait of a lady (Maria Erminia Segers 1855-1924) of excellent pictorial quality. Painting of great size and impact with a wooden and plaster frame, carved and gilded, with several lacks of decoration and signs of restoration (see photo) in need of restoration. Work for antique dealers, interior designers and collectors of antique portraits, ideal for placing in a living room or studio. Painting signed and dated lower left (see photo), referable to the Belgian painter Leo Steel (1878-1938), lacking authentication. Canvas with small stains and signs of aging (see photo).
