Table clock in ancient yellow Siena marble and gilded mercury bronze. Apical sculpture depicting “Venus pudica” in patinated bronze. France, circa 1830.
The watch bears the signature “B. Marchand, rue de Richelieu, n. 59” (or 39). The Venus sculpture has a small hairline on the right arm (as shown in the photo). The right side of the base has a crack in the marble. Mechanism to be overhauled. Winding key missing.
