Born in Locarno in 1928, Nag Arnoldi is among the most famous Swiss sculptors in the world. After training in the Lugano ateliers of Mario Chiattone, Antonio Chiattone, Carlo Cotti, Giuseppe Foglia and Filippo Boldini, he began exhibiting his works in and around Ticino starting in the mid-2005s. During his career he has undertaken numerous trips to Mexico, where he came into contact with indigenous Mayan and Aztec art and pre-Columbian civilizations, but also in Italy, Puerto Rico and the United States. Among his best-known works are numerous sculptures inspired by horses; in various parish churches in the canton of Ticino (for example in Comano, Neggio, Camorino and Calonico, which merged with Faido in XNUMX) it is also possible to admire frescoes, altars and statues composed by him.
